Movers and Shakers

So the last 10 days have been CRAZY BUSY! We closed on our house the morning of Friday, July 22nd.
The new home-owners
First meal in our new home, right before the painting started up!

Then, life got really insane. Travis and I, along with much wonderful help from Kel and my Mom rotated painting, cooking and child watching for the next 36hours straight. (No pics, too busy)
Monday was spent doing odds and ends things, getting all of our carpets professionally cleaned and packing to get ready for the big move Tuesday morning.
Finally, we worked on cleaning our apartment after I was done with work on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
We finally got settled in this weekend when Grandma and Grandpa Kuehl came to visit and helped us out tons with the little (yet, very big) things (like light fixtures, and broken water heaters)

Isaac and G-ma K

Loves that elephant!

Now we are slow unpacking. Seems like a never ending job. We are also keeping Menards in business, and it is without a doubt, my new favorite store. Our project list is about 2 miles long, as we moved into a home that "Has good bones" (quote by Nancy T) but has so many updates to do. Before and after pics will come as we finish rooms. I learned this last 10 days that I am horrible at making decorating decisions, and will never ever build a house. Also, bachelors who live alone for 15 years do not clean...not even a little bit. Ewwwwwww was heard A LOT during the painting/cleaning process. Anyways, here is a new habit Isaac has picked up on since moving into a house. No need to be quite anymore in our house, and he obviously knows it!

I almost forgot... in the midst of all the madness, Isaac spouted his second tooth. Click on the pic to make it bigger for a better looky!

8 Months

18lbs 5oz ~ 28 inches long

WHATS NEW WITH ISAAC @ 8 MONTHS
  • Has 1 tooth completely in and the other is just breaking the surface
  • Talks to "BOB" ALL THE TIME! We might have a chatterbox on our hands!
  • Starting to get a little bit of an attitude!
  • Sleeps through the night pretty consistently now
  • Not crawling, or rolling on purpose. Pretty content with staying in one spot, which is totally O.K. with me!
  • Love to watch T.V....Jeopardy is one of his favorite shows.
  • Growing lots and lots of thick hair now, as you can see from the picture.
  • Slowly starting to like textured food.
  • LOVES stuffed animals.
  • Starting to wear his 9-12 months clothes... ok, now I'm just rambling, time to wrap it up....
  • He's still loving life and laughing all the time, except when teeth are ripping through his gums.

Slow Week

Isaac Travis in one hand + Jack Daniels in the other = One Happy Dad!
How big is Isaac????

SOOOOOO BIG!

Watching US Women's Soccer team while mom cleans the house!

Not much of anything went on this week. I am busy stressing myself out picking out paint for the house we are moving into on Friday and Travis kept himself busy finding used items for the new place. We went to our first Wisconsin wedding on Saturday, and it did not disappoint... lots of beer and cheese, just like anyone would expect.

4th of July

Mom and Dad really appreciate this new trick!

We tried letting having his arms free during a feeding, as you can see he is not quite ready for this kind of freedom

He has FINALLY started to like bathtime!

He looks like such a grown up in this picture!

Right before  he  fell asleep while watching cartoons on the couch Saturday morning.

We didn't have a special 4th of July outfit, so Travis pulled this getup together. If you look real close, you can see his first tooth!

Isaac all ready for his first 4th of July parade. He did well for about 2 minutes. He's not a fan of fire trucks and muzzle loaders!

The rest of the crew under age 6.. Grace being lady-like, Matthew with his usual look, Andrew with his new lady, Rayla

Taking in the parade. This was shot between outburst of crying.
We had a very nice 4th of July weekend. Went to a fireworks show Friday night, went and bought a new fridge for the house on Saturday, BBQ/BDAY party at the Fritels on Sunday and parade today. It was nice to stick around the area and not spend another weekend in a car. Here are some pics from the past week and this weekend.
